it was 27 June 2003, almost 14 years ago. in those days I had released my 1st album "Bad'lania Rising" and was finalizing my 2nd Jewish Lightning. I had a real lot of very experimental cuts, some of which made it to my 3rd 'Desert Fever Brigade' among those that didn't make the album was a loud instrumental called 'Violate The Bass!' I was on a German-based on-line music distributor called besonic.com. I had some songs in the top 100 sub-genre charts but short-lived. I then released "Violate the Bass!" under the experimental noise sub-genre. the next day, it bolted from nowhere to #4 on the global All Genre chart. many there didn't like the idea of me being there, and the song really wasn't that good.i began to receive threatening emails from artists and listeners from Germany. they posted blogs against me in German accusing me of fixing the charts. they overestimated me. I didn't know how to do that, and if I did know, I would never do such a thing. I couldn't understand the German in the blogs, but I saw the word 'juden' in there and got very frightened. I had to think what to do. i couldn't play the game they were playing, so this is what I did.it became a war where members of the Jewish community on the site were rallying to me, protecting my reputation. I wrote a song called "Jewish Riot" as my response of the war I thought was long over==it wentlike this, very loudly.

he King of Jewish Punk (#30/68) and my First Temporary Death! 11 May 2016-my hemoglobin dropped to under 3 and i died for a short while. during this time, i was transported by a Divine Being and i was on the stage in what i will say was the Lowest Of Heavens. i was up there with the angels, playing live every instrument i know-all at the same time! it was powerful, fast and good. i'm brought back by the Divine Being who brought me there. i crawl my way to my board to try to produce this, but i was not permitted to do it on earth so i drew a blank and woke up in the hospital. i returned a week later and finished recording The Gangsta Rabbi's Aqualung . after that was "down with a bang #29' didn't have it either. after my 2nd Temporary Death on 8/15/16 i recover enough by October to start my new cd. me and Rebekah go the guitar center and i get a 29.00 pedal by boss caleed FUZZ5. i removed the D-string and played SUS-4 2 note chords and my sound got more majestic----to continue

The DIAGNOSIS of my sickness-i have POLYCYTHEMIA VERA a rare BONE MARROW disorder affecting one in 1,000,000 people, most being 'ambitious middle-age men' There is no cure for this, but the symptoms are treated by weekly blood-lettings which will hopefully retrain the BONE MARRoW to function properly. Ambitious? that's how the heck i survived in this industry so full of haters. This beats the hell out of leukemia though!

OK!-so i'm getting ready to close the first night of the 2 day BE-IN/SOLARFEST. the band who went on before me, although quite enjoyable, got me quite pissed off by inviting the crowd to see them at another show they were doing that same night--DUDES--C'MON--I PRACTICED 2 MONTHS TO GET HERE-NOW YOU WANT TO TAKE MY AUDIENCE AWAY? AND FROM THE LOCAL LONG ISLAND MUSIC SCENE--yeah--3 weeks ago-i played to like 500 people opening for Andrew W.K.-they screamed for me--they moshed to me-they treated me like royalty--from the youtube video's taken by my daughter Rebek'ah-i thought this show for me was an unqualified success--but 3 subsequent events just didn't sit right with me--1st-ly-the 'star' of the night Andrew W.K.--i and the other opening bands also served as ticket brokers for him--that's how it works here to play the big clubs--none of our names were on the ticket-but we had to sell/give away/or otherwise discard our quota of tix in exchange for our right to play--it would have meant the world to be in exchange for this if he answered at least one e-mail from me--i know he owes me nothing--but common professional courtesy--ok?--then i sent the venue an e-mail thanking them for the opportunity to play for such a wonderful audience at such a great club--well--i guess it got lost in cyberspace--oh well--it was the 4th time i played there--and every time--the crowd gathered en mass to the stage--cheered me on--sometimes bordering on frenzy-and then dispersing as i left the stage--i guess this doesn't matter much--it wasn't my imagination-it really happened--it's on the video's and cassettes i recorded--and 3rdly--a quote from a blog about the show--show was pretty lame until awk. I mean, this jewish gangsta rabbi came out, it was him playing the bass to drum beats. . . . then he played the bass with a flute. . . the nostalgia wore off after five minutes. . . The other bands were ok. Nothing spectacular, i'm glad this blogger gave me special mention--but--with me--the 'nostalgia' never wears off-i look straight out of the early 70's--perhaps my 'novelty' only lasted 5 minutes--i registered to the blog group to post my response--but in 5 days they still haven't approved me--bummer
